Delete your account.
Two routes, both self-service, neither requiring you to talk to anyone. This page also explains exactly what deletion does and does not reach, so nothing about it is a surprise afterwards.
Last updated 2026-08-29
You can delete your Veliard account yourself, at any time, without asking us and without giving a reason. Deleting is permanent — there is no undo and no recovery window.
Export anything you want to keep first. The platform exports your full training history in a structured, machine-readable format from Settings → Export data, and once the account is gone we cannot produce it for you.
10.1From inside the app
- 01Open the Veliard app on iOS or Android.
- 02Go to Settings → Account.
- 03Choose Delete account.
- 04Confirm with your password, or with the sign-in method you use.
- 05You get a confirmation on screen and by email.
Deleting the app from your phone does not delete your account. It removes the app and leaves the account running, which is why this route exists separately.
10.2From the web
You do not need the app installed. Sign in at app.veliard.com and use Settings → Account → Delete account, which works the same way as the in-app route.
If you cannot sign in — you have lost access to the email address, or the account was created for you — write to contact@veliard.com from any address you can use, and say which account you mean. We will verify that it is yours before we do anything, which may mean asking you something only the account holder would know. We will not delete an account on an unverified request, because doing so would let anyone delete anyone.
10.3What gets deleted
- Your account, login credentials, active sessions and registered devices.
- Your profile: name, email address, preferences.
- Push notification tokens, so notifications stop.
- Training content you own — anything you created outside a coach’s roster.
- Any injury, restriction or physiological entries you made, wherever they sit and whoever holds the roster.
- Analytics identifiers, and any analytics consent you had given.
10.4What stays, and who decides
Two things survive, and both for reasons we would rather state plainly than have you discover later.
Training data inside a coach’s roster. If a coach added you to their roster, they — not we — decide what happens to the record they keep about you. In data protection terms the coach is the controller and we are the processor, so we cannot erase their record on your say-so any more than a gym’s software vendor could destroy the gym’s member records. When you delete your account we tell you which coaches hold data about you, and we pass your erasure request to them. They must answer you under Article 17 of the GDPR. Tell us if they do not and we will chase it.
Records we are legally required to keep. Invoices and statutory accounting records have to be kept for six years under Cyprus law. They live in accounting systems, not in the product, and they are not used for anything else.
Everything else described in the platform privacy policy goes.
10.5How long it takes
Your account stops working immediately. Deletion from live systems completes within 30 days, and from backups as those backups expire on their own rotation — we do not edit backups, because a backup that can be selectively rewritten is not a reliable backup.
Until a backup expires your data is inert: it is not readable by the product, not used for anything, and would only ever be restored as part of recovering the whole system after a disaster.
10.6Cancelling your subscription first
Deleting your account does not automatically cancel a subscription bought through an app store, because the store holds that billing relationship, not us. Cancel it before you delete, or you may keep being charged for a service you can no longer reach:
- iOS. Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Veliard → Cancel.
- Android. Play Store → profile → Payments and subscriptions → Veliard → Cancel.
- Subscribed directly from us. Cancellation is part of the deletion flow, and we stop billing from the end of the period you have paid for.
Refunds for store purchases are handled by Apple or Google under their own policies — we cannot refund a payment we never received. Your statutory rights, including the withdrawal right in 08.9 of the terms of service, are unaffected.
